Dear Mr. Maeng:<\/p>\n

We have just finished reviewing all of the applications to the\u00a0MIT Sloan Master of Finance program for the year of 2009-2010.\u00a0 The applicant pool was very strong and included many outstanding candidates.<\/p>\n

On behalf of the Admissions Committee, I am delighted to offer you admission to the M.Fin. program \u2013 congratulations!<\/p>\n

This offer is valid until April 1, 2009.\u00a0\u00a0In order to secure your place in the M.Fin. class enrolling in June 2009, you must submit a $3000 enrollment fee along with the online enrollment decision form by\u00a0April 1st. This fee will be applied towards your tuition upon matriculation. Please note that if you change your decision, one half ($1500) of the fee\u00a0will be reimbursed.<\/p>\n

The tuition charge for this 12-month program of study is $70,000.\u00a0 M.Fin. students are expected to be self-funded. For information about funding options, please visit the MIT Financial Aid website at http:\/\/web.mit.edu\/sfs\/financial_aid\/index.html.\u00a0 Information about loan options specifically designed for MIT Sloan students may be viewed at http:\/\/web.mit.edu\/sfs\/loans\/sloan_loans.html.<\/p>\n

If you accept this offer of admission, you will enroll in the Summer term ’09, Fall Term ’09, and Spring Term ’10. Registration approval each term is contingent upon good academic standing which requires that you maintain at least a B- grade point average. Commencement is scheduled for June 4, 2010.<\/p>\n

Please note that the required Finance Theory I and II courses will be consolidated into one intensive Summer course\u00a0(15.415).\u00a0 This course will be held throughout the month of August and will be restricted to M.Fin. students only.\u00a0 The course will meet four days\/week, complemented by regular recitations.\u00a0 In addition,\u00a0Orientation, career development workshops and required pre-term academic sessions will be held in the weeks prior to the formal start\u00a0of 15.415.\u00a0\u00a0You should, therefore, plan to arrive in Cambridge with\u00a0sufficient time to settle in before the start of M.Fin. Orientation, estimated to begin July 20th.<\/p>\n
